Few figures in Chinese history command as much respect as Guan Yu.
A general of the late Eastern Han dynasty and one of the legendary heroes of the Three Kingdoms era, Guan Yu became renowned for his unwavering loyalty, battlefield courage, and unbreakable sense of honour. Serving alongside Liu Bei and Zhang Fei, his deeds were immortalised in the classic novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, where he emerged as the ultimate symbol of righteousness and brotherhood.
Armed with the legendary Green Dragon Crescent Blade, Guan Yu fought in some of the most famous campaigns in Chinese history. His reputation for integrity became so great that he was later deified and worshipped across China as Guandi — the God of War.
Today, Guan Yu remains a symbol of loyalty, honour, strength, and justice. His image can be found in temples, businesses, police stations, martial arts schools, and homes throughout the Chinese world.
This design honours the warrior whose name became a legend and whose character became divine.
