Suanni — The Dragon of Smoke

One of the legendary Nine Sons of the Dragon, Suanni (狻猊) is the guardian of incense, sacred smoke, ritual fire, and spiritual power.

In ancient China mythology, Suanni was said to dwell among temples and incense burners, calmly seated within clouds of sacred smoke. His image became closely associated with Buddhist shrines, ceremonial fire, meditation, and divine authority — symbolising inner strength, discipline, contemplation, and spiritual endurance.
